Smokers are Killer.....

ok I just opened my yahoo mail and got the email from SEQ GEEK yahoogroups below;

----------------------

Re: Smoking?

Posted by: "Sela"

Tue Nov 21, 2006 8:21 am (PST)

i don't have any suggestions other than people having the guts to say
to smokers how badly it can effect them.

smoking can give me an asthma attack and some smokers are just plain
rude.

when my daughter was a baby, i'd have people come up right beside her
pram and start smoking right beside. at least when i had her in tow,
i sometimes got the courage to say "can you please not smoke around a
baby". actually i felt like saying "hey, if you want to **** up your
own lungs, go right ahead; if you want to be an inconsiderate
bastard, go right ahead, but don't smoke near a young child who can't
get up and walk away from your selfishness" .

i can remember one particular time about four years ago, i was sick
with the flu, and these two rude women lit up on a city council bus -
one of the ones that is enclosed and air conditioned so anything in
the air gets all throughout the bus. they were also sitting next to
the do not smoke sign. i wasn't particularly having a good day being
sick, so i just let myself cough without covering it. and the more
they smoked, the more i coughed in their direction.

unfortunately, they seemed to have the brain the size of a gnat and
just looked at me with a look that they had no idea what my problem
was and that somehow i was the rude inconsiderate one.

oh, for those who don't catch city council buses - smoking is illegal
on them and has been for as long as i can remember, and you can get a
huge fine for it.

in the end, i just got off and told the bus driver on the way out.
but he didn't do anything other than drove off.

the problem with smoking unlike drinking and drugs, if you're in like
a party situation, or a place where smoking is still legal, you don't
have a choice but to be a passive smoker or leave. drunks might get
obnoxious, but you won't get cancer or an asthma attack hanging out
with drunks.

personally, i don't think there is a lot you can do. some smokers
respect non smokers, some don't. even if you ask them to stop, some
won't, and even if it's illegal for them to be smoking, some will
keep doing it.

all you can do is try to politely explain to friends that you are
quite allergic to cigarette smoke and if they can't respect that, all
you can do is find more respectful friends, and in the case of public
places that allow smoking - well unfortunately, there isn't a
terrible lot you can do because if you go up to a stranger and ask
them to stop smoking for you, quite often they are just going to
treat you like you're a troublemaker. all you can really do is find
new places to hang out at.

until smoking is banned forever or a "consideration gene" makes its
way into the entire human species, you'll always get some people who
have no problem with smoking all over people with allergies.

--------------------- end of email -------------------

I remember that based on research that the passive smokers have higher risk of lung cancer than active smokers. That mean... Smokers killing more people that killing Him Self

Now its your choice, to QUIT or to KILL PEOPLE SURROUND YOU

Wet n Wild Trip

Can't wait to blog this... its awesome...

on Monday 13 Nov 2006, We (Jakarta Crew) went to wet n wild, we planning its gonna be 9 people.... then.. only 5 people that coming (Me, pakde, Bude, Om and Tante) (*their nick name :D).

we bring many food and drinks such as Rice, KFC, Chips, Teh Sosro (from my boss), lemon tea, Frozen Water, Apple juice... yea you know... Indo style :D... don't even care about other people.... walk with confidence :D lol....

we departed from Central Station around 9.55am catch the Gold Coast/ Robina train it was 12 Zone ticket from Brisbane. Takes around 1 hour to get there... huhuhu exciting.. we met Gay couple in train.. they sit next to us... when its half way from halensvale station we saw they sleeping and hugging... ohh yaachkttsakjakdsdsfjksaahjads. And guest what.. they going to wet n wild too..... lol..

arrive in Halensvale station we catch the bus to wet n wild its only take 15 minutes. Then we buy ticket first... (I already purchase Discount Voucher from eBay) it save you $14/person.... nice... We going in to wet n wild and rent the locker its $7/day per locker.. We keep the Mobile, Keys, And Wallet in locker.. and we bring towel, foods, drinks and camera.

Ok we don't know where to go.. we take the close ride, they called it

"Giant Wave Pool" where 3 million litres of water and a consistent one-metre swell makes for a lot of fun. With gently rolling waves in the shallows and constant lifeguard supervision, guests of all ages can hit the surf in safety. There's also inflatable tubes for hire from the Beach Hut.

exciting.. yesss but I can't swimmm.... helppppppppppppppppppp lol.... when the wave coming I am slowly went back not the deep one (hiks I am alone) everyone swim with the wave in deep level...

after that we had our lunch, KFC with rice and Sosro (its been frozen when i brought it.. now its really fressh and cool in the hot weather) yummyyyyyyyy...

Next We going to "Mammoth Falls" The Mammoth River Ride features 4.5 metre wide troughs winding over more than 200 metres of white water rapids and ridden in giant six-person tubes.

5 of us Riding this big tube... huhuhuuh exciting... Pakde was so excited he alway push the tube when we pass the corner... bude was the loudest one... its fun we scream out of loud, laughing... huhuuhuhu want it againnn....

At the bottom we can see our picture was taken by automatic camera.. so you can print it ($10) later from their office... (PS: Don't forget the time when you take it. as they won't allow u to browse arround within thousands picture).

We left our stuff in Giant Wave area.. after having some chips.. we went to other rides. Mach 5, Black Hole, Tornado ( this 3 rides its new and they called it Extreme H20 Zone ) it is Extreme....

"Mach 5" attraction houses the Parks two longest slides that has guests sliding through 200 metres of twists and turns in open air flumes. And for the first time at Wet'n'Wild, one of these lengthy slides can be ridden in a three-man tube.

First time I saw it.. it really scary... not the one with tube, but the other one, you sliding from 200metres and takes less than 30 sec to get Down.. Feel like flying... feel so good and relief after we've done this... so cool....

Next is "Black Hole" as the name suggests, features two enclosed slides that catapult riders into pitch black spirals of darkness. You don't know which way you're turning next, and you don't see a thing until you hit the final splashdown!.

Its Really Dark..... its fun tough where you just follow the stream and at the end you will see the light of HOPE.. lol...

Then "Tornado" Riders begin their wild journey on the unique Tornado super-slide from a 15-metre high platform, then blast down a 40-metre long tunnel into the middle of a storm. Here they'll spin around the Tornado's funnel in a four person clover-leaf tube splashing back and forth through the menacing, swirling water.

unfortunately its only 4 person in 1 tube, so we split into 2 groups. Everyone always stuck in first tunnel, you have to swing around... and the adventures begin... first tunnel not to bad.. but when we came out from tunnel.... its really eXtreme.. so be prepared :D.

OK Finish with the eXtremes... we take our bags and move to buccaneer bay.... play ground area for kids.. but it have good view... so we take a rest in here and taking some pictures.

"Terror Canyon" Embarking on a tandem tube, plunge into the eerie unknown where you'll be swept by the torrent into a terrifying abyss of raging waters and sudden twists and turns.

Pass through sections of sheer darkness into eerie lighting effects before hurtling towards the final exhilarating splashdown into the rockpools below.

it sort of like Black Hole.. but the different is Teal not black, and the light better than Balck Hole.

Well its already 4.30pm and it will close at 5.. we can't spen into any rides again.. so we relax in "Calypso Beach" We can Lie back and relax on the soft tubes as the slow-flowing river takes you through lush sub-tropical gardens, a Caribbean shanty town and the remains of a pirate castle.

Or just find a spot in one of the shady beach retreats. It's the perfect place to unwind and go with flow.

We stay relax and playing Boom Boom Tube..(bude idea) lol... you hit around with your tubes... bude's glasses was missing after this...

Get ready to go home, taking shower and print out the picture... from Mammoth falls. We are the last one who come out from wet n wild.. with security escort... huhuhuhu Then we went back to brisbane... With Fun Memoriessss

Feel Great Every Day With This Habit!

They say it takes about 90 day's to form a habit. (Whoever
"they" are). And I assume they mean any habit, good or bad.

OK if you do this everyday within 90 days it will become your habit. You will loving life more than ever before.

Deep breathing
(recommended by Anthony Robins and Jimmy Sweeney based on Health research)

take one deep breath through your NOSE ONLY, to
full capacity. (This takes me about 6 or 7 seconds).

hold this breath for about 20 to 30 seconds.

Next, SLOWLY exhale through your MOUTH ONLY making sure to
exhale completely until there is no air left in my lungs.

repeat this amazing process a total of 10 times.

If you sick
Ask your doctor if this is okay for you, but I can't
recommend highly enough that you try this everyday for a
week to see how it makes you feel each morning. Do it for
90 days and you've got a new healthy habit with
lifelong benefits.

STRETCH YOUR BODY.

after deep breathing exercise, then take 5 minutes to stretch your body
Stretch my leg muscles, my back, my arms, my shoulders, and my neck

it only takes me 10 minutes everyday after wake up to feel great each day.

Smokers are Idiot?

Don't Worry People are Stupid We Can Trained Them

ok look when you 1st time start smoking, i am sure 100% that you coughing and feel bad about it.

Why people are smoking? "because someone train them to link pleasure to it"

here's the story the people whose out smart, smart people and make them completely idiots.

A small group people gather one day, and they said
"you know what? we got a product it's dirt chepa, it's totally addicted. If we sell it and we got enough people got addicted to it, we literally can make billion dollar."

Then one of them said;
" but we got a problem guys. our product stings and it kills people"

The other guy said;
"Don't worry people are stupid we can change them. We just conditioned them to link smoking with pleasures.

Like when you smoke you can be cool (cool killing people arround u?), you are independent (are you independent when you addicted?), you can be strong (Strong enough to kill ur self?).

No problem because the pleasure will be worthed and more reall than coughing on cigarette.

We can use sex as pleasure, when you smoke you get turn on! (on when you smell bad breathe?)

You will be able to relax when you smoke.. (Yes it's true Relax for long.. long... long.. time :p)

"
note: Source from tony robbins tape, the Red its my word...

The story above tell how idiots those people are :D.

why I called the smokers idiot? "I described idiot is someone who doesn't want to learn, think and change"

There are no benefit at all on smoking, IT JUST YOUR MIND

The Fact:
The Tobacco Industry kills more people in North America from Monday to Thursday of each week than the terrorists murdered in total on Sept. 11, 2001

If you do smoke and you're thinking about quitting I highly
recommend a new system to you that I've referred a few

16 Rules by Go Daddy CEO and founder Bob Parsons

Browsing on net and I found was interesting for me.

Here are the 16 rules Bob Parsons try to live by:

1. Get and stay out of your comfort zone. I believe that not much happens of any significance when we're in our comfort zone. I hear people say, "But I'm concerned about security." My response to that is simple: "Security is for cadavers."

2. Never give up. Almost nothing works the first time it's attempted. Just because what you're doing does not seem to be working, doesn't mean it won't work. It just means that it might not work the way you're doing it. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, and you wouldn't have an opportunity.

3. When you're ready to quit, you're closer than you think.
There's an old Chinese saying that I just love, and I believe it is so true. It goes like this: "The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed."

4. With regard to whatever worries you, not only accept the worst thing that could happen, but make it a point to quantify what the worst thing could be. Very seldom will the worst consequence be anywhere near as bad as a cloud of "undefined consequences." My father would tell me early on, when I was struggling and losing my shirt trying to get Parsons Technology going, "Well, Robert, if it doesn't work, they can't eat you."

5. Focus on what you want to have happen. Remember that old saying, "As you think, so shall you be."

6. Take things a day at a time. No matter how difficult your situation is, you can get through it if you don't look too far into the future, and focus on the present moment. You can get through anything one day at a time.

7. Always be moving forward. Never stop investing. Never stop improving. Never stop doing something new. The moment you stop improving your organization, it starts to die. Make it your goal to be better each and every day, in some small way. Remember the Japanese concept of Kaizen. Small daily improvements eventually result in huge advantages.

8. Be quick to decide. Remember what General George S. Patton said: "A good plan violently executed today is far and away better than a perfect plan tomorrow."

9. Measure everything of significance. I swear this is true. Anything that is measured and watched, improves.

10. Anything that is not managed will deteriorate. If you want to uncover problems you don't know about, take a few moments and look closely at the areas you haven't examined for a while. I guarantee you problems will be there.

11. Pay attention to your competitors, but pay more attention to what you're doing.
When you look at your competitors, remember that everything looks perfect at a distance. Even the planet Earth, if you get far enough into space, looks like a peaceful place.

12. Never let anybody push you around. In our society, with our laws and even playing field, you have just as much right to what you're doing as anyone else, provided that what you're doing is legal.

13. Never expect life to be fair.
Life isn't fair. You make your own breaks. You'll be doing good if the only meaning fair has to you, is something that you pay when you get on a bus (i.e., fare).

14. Solve your own problems.
You'll find that by coming up with your own solutions, you'll develop a competitive edge. Masura Ibuka, the co-founder of SONY, said it best: "You never succeed in technology, business, or anything by following the others." There's also an old Asian saying that I remind myself of frequently. It goes like this: "A wise man keeps his own counsel."

15. Don't take yourself too seriously. Lighten up. Often, at least half of what we accomplish is due to luck. None of us are in control as much as we like to think we are.

16. There's always a reason to smile. Find it. After all, you're really lucky just to be alive. Life is short. More and more, I agree with my little brother. He always reminds me: "We're not here for a long time; we're here for a good time."

A special word of thanks.
I owe a special thanks to Brian Dunn. When I first wrote these rules down and was thinking about compiling them into a book — that book, like most books I suppose, has been half-done for a while :); — Brian read them and suggested a title. His suggestion was, "They Can't Eat You." I like Brian's suggestion for two reasons: 1. It reminds me of my Dad. I sure miss him; and 2. It's true. No matter how difficult things get, you're going to be OK. It's very important to realize that. Thanks, Brian.

Pilih Nyogok atau Tidak Nyogok?

Senin, 17 Juli 2006,
Oleh
Dahlan Iskan

Saya jadi ingat guyonan Pak Basofi Sudirman ketika masih jadi gubernur Jatim.

How to Find True North Without a Compass - WikiHow

How to Find True North Without a Compass - WikiHow

Steps
The Shadow-Tip Method
1. Place a straight stick straight upright in the ground so that you can see its shadow. Alternately, you can use the shadow of a fixed object that is perpendicular to the ground. Nearly any object will work, but the taller the object is, the easier it will be to see the movement of its shadow, and the narrower the tip of the object is, the more accurate the reading will be. Make sure the shadow is cast on a level, brush-free spot.

2. Mark the tip of the shadow with a small object, such as a pebble, or a distinct scratch in the ground. Try to make the mark as small as possible so as to pinpoint the shadow's tip, but make sure you can identify the mark later.

3. Wait 10-15 minutes. The shadow will move aproximately from west to east in an arc which depends on your latitude and the season. (If you happen to be on the equator during one of the equinoxes, the shadow will move in a straight line.)

4. Mark the new position of the shadow's tip with another small object or scratch. It will likely move only a short distance.

5. Draw a straight line in the ground between the two marks. This is an east-west line.

6. Stand with the first mark (west) on your left, and the other (east) on your right. You are now facing aproximately toward true north. (Accuracy improves as your location approaches the equator, and as the time of year aproaches either equinox.)
